Harris, 24, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Saints as an undrafted free agent out of Texas A&M back in 2016. He was set to make base salaries of $540,000 and $630,000 over the next two years of the contract when the Saints cut him loose in December of last year.
New Orleans signed him to their practice squad shortly after he cleared waivers and then re-signed him to a one-year futures contract back in January. New Orleans released him last month and was quickly claimed off waivers by the Buccaneers.
In 2017, Harris appeared in 11 games for the Saints and recorded 18 tackles, no interceptions, and two pass defenses.
