The Tampa Bay Buccaneers officially placed DTย Stevie Tu’ikolovatu on injured reserve after passing through waivers unclaimed.
Tu’ikolovatu, 27, is a former seventh-round pick of the Buccaneers back in 2017. He’s currently in the second year of his four-year, $2.49 million contract and stands to make base salaries of $555,000 and $645,000 over the next two years of the agreement.
The Buccaneers waived him with an injury designation on Thursday.
During his college career at Utah and USC, Tu’ikolovatu recorded 89 tackles, nine tackles for a loss, 2.5 sacks, four fumble recoveries with one being returned for a touchdown and three pass defenses over the course of three seasons and 28 games.
