Buccaneers Place QB Ryan Griffin On Injured Reserve, Sign LS Garrison Sanborn

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers placed QBย Ryan Griffin on injured reserve and signed LS Garrison Sanborn to a contract, according to Greg Auman.

Griffin, 27, originally signed on with the Saints as an undrafted free agent out of Tulane back in 20. New Orleans decided to make him one of their final roster cuts but signed him to their practice squad once he cleared waivers.

The Saints eventually promoted him to their active roster but waived him the following preseason. The Buccaneers claimed him off waivers back in 2015 and he signed a two-year, $1,100,000.

Griffin returned to the Buccaneers on a one-year,ย $1.797 million restricted deal this offseason but just recently signed a new one-year extension with the team a few weeks ago.

He has yet to appear in an NFL game.

Over the course of his four-year career at Tulane, Griffin threw for 9,026 yards while completing 59.9 percent of his passes to go along with 56 touchdowns and 35 interceptions.
