Buccaneers Plan On Having K Connor Barth Back Next Season, Won’t Re-Sign Rian Lindell

Alex Marvez of Fox Sports reports that the Buccaneers expect to have K Connor Barth back at full strength next year and won’t be re-signing free agent K Rian Lindell as a result.

Barth, 27, signed a four-year, $13.2 million contract that included $4 million guaranteed with the Bucs back in 2012.

He unfortunately suffered a season-ending Achilles ruptured during a charity basketball game last July. Barth was coming off of an impressive 2012 season, but the Buccaneers were forced to sign some street free agents, which included Lindell and Lawrence Tynes who would end up contracting an MRSA infection.

Lindell, 37, appeared in all 16 games last season converting 79.3 percent of his field goal attempts and was four of six from 50 yards.
