Buccaneers Promote WR Evan Spencer, Sign Two To Practice Squad

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced that they’ve promoted WR Evan Spencer from the team’s practice squad to the active roster.

Spencer, 22, was taken in the sixth round of this year’s NFL draft by the Redskins. He was unfortunately waived with an injury settlement at the start of the regular season.

However, the Buccaneers elected to sign him to their practice squad just a few weeks into the season.

During his four years at Ohio State, Spencer caught 52 passes for 579 yards receiving and seven touchdowns over the course of 43 games.
