Buccaneers Re-Sign CB De’Vante Harris To One-Year Deal

According to the Athletic’s Greg Auman, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are re-signing CB De’Vante Harris.

Harris announced the move via his Instagram account.  Auman notes that it’s a one-year deal.

The Buccaneers declined to tender Harris an offer as a restricted free agent.

Harris, 24, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Saints as an undrafted free agent out of Texas A&M back in 2016. He was set to make base salaries of $540,000 and $630,000 over the next two years of the contract when the Saints cut him loose in December of last year.

The Buccaneers claimed Harris off of waivers, then waived him again following final roster cuts.  Harris re-signed with the Buccaneers in October and played the rest of the season.

In 2018, Harris appeared in 9 games for the Buccaneers, recording nine total tackles and three passes defensed.
