The Tampa Bay Buccaneers officially re-signed WR Cyril Grayson to their practice squad and released WR John Hurst from the unit on Thursday.
Tampa Bay’s practice squad now consists of:
- DB Javon Hagan
- DT Jeremiah Ledbetter
- G Nick Leverett
- DB Herb Miller
- WR Josh Pearson
- DE Benning Potoa’e
- QB Josh Rosen
- K Greg Joseph
- RB Kenjon Barner (Suspended)
- WR Travis Jonsen
- TE Codey McElroy
- DB Mazzi Wilkins
- DT Kobe Smith
- DE Quinton Bell
- G John Molchon
- WR Cyril Grayson
Grayson, 26, signed a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Seahawks, but last just a few months in Seattle. Grayson has since had brief stints with the Colts, Texans, Bears, and Saints before the Cowboys signed him to their practice squad last year.
Tampa Bay signed him off Dallas’ taxi squad back in December but was among their final roster cuts coming out of training camp. The Buccaneers re-signed him to their practice squad once and he’s bounced on and off the taxi squad this season.
In 2020, Grayson has appeared in three games and has recorded 20 kickoff return yards. As a receiver, he’s been targetted three times but hasn’t recorded any receptions.
During his college career, Grayson was a standout track star at LSU and a seven-time All-American on both indoor and outdoor tracks. He also won four national championships on relay teams.
