Rick Stroud reports that the Buccaneers are re-signing WR/KR Jaydon Mickens to their practice squad now that he passed through waivers unclaimed on Tuesday.

Here’s the Buccaneers updated practice squad:

  1. DB Javon Hagan
  2. G Nick Leverett
  3. DB Herb Miller
  4. WR Josh Pearson
  5. DE Benning Potoa’e
  6. QB Josh Rosen
  7. K Greg Joseph
  8. WR Travis Jonsen
  9. TE Codey McElroy
  10. DB Mazzi Wilkins
  11. DT Kobe Smith
  12. DE Quinton Bell
  13. G John Molchon
  14. WR Cyril Grayson
  15. WR/KR Jaydon Mickens

Mickens, 26, wound up signing on with the Raiders as an undrafted free agent out of Washington back in 2016. He was waived at the start of the season and spent his rookie year on their practice squad before returning to the team on a future/reserve contract in 2017.

The Raiders waived him with an injury designation coming out of the preseason and later signed with the Jaguars. The Buccaneers added him to their practice squad and eventually promoted him to the active roster last December.

The Bucs waived Mickens this summer before re-signing him soon after.

In 2020, Mickens has appeared in nine games for the Buccaneers and caught seven passes for 58 yards receiving and no touchdowns. He has also totaled 289 kick return yards and 99 punt return yards.
