Buccaneers Reach An Agreement With LB Jonathan Casillas On A One-Year Deal

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced that they have reached an agreement on a one-year deal with LB Jonathan Casillas.

Casillas, 26, signed with the Saints as an undrafted free agent out of Wisconsin back in 2009. He would have been an unrestricted free agent, but it appears as though the coaching staff would like to give him a shot at earning roster spot in training camp.

Last year, Casillas appeared in 12 games and totaled 33 tackles, a forced fumble and two pass defenses for the Buccaneers. His season was shortened after he suffered a season-ending knee injury back in December of last season.
