Buccaneers Reach Agreement With LT Anthony Collins

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have agreed to terms with former Bengals OL Anthony Collins on a five-year deal.

  • Ian Rapoport reports that Collins receives a five-year deal worth $30 million.
  • ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Collins’ deal includes $15 million guaranteed.
  • Mike Garafolo reports that Collins got the “hard sell” from new Buccaneers DE Michael Johnson and DT Clinton McDonald to sign with Tampa Bay.
  • Greg Auman reported last night that Collins is deciding between offers from the Buccaneers, Panthers and and the Bengals.

Collins, 28, put together a solid season when it counted most and was without a doubt the best available left tackle at this point in free agency.

Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 24 offensive tackle in the league last season. We had him listed as the No. 28 player in our Top 50 Free Agents list.
