The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are signing CB Ross Cockrell to their active roster, according to Greg Auman.
The team confirmed the move Tuesday morning, along with a number of other reported moves. The team also announced it is signing LB Tegray Scales to the practice squad.
Cockrell, 29, is a former fourth-round pick of the Bills back in 2014 but was waived after one year. The Steelers signed him shortly after and later traded him to the Giants for a 2018 seventh-round pick.
Cockrell wound up signing a two-year, $6.8M deal with the Panthers in March of 2018 and finished out his contract. He then caught on with the Buccaneers practice squad back in September.
In 2020, Cockrell has appeared in one game for the Buccaneers and is yet to record any statistics.
