Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Buccaneers and DE Robert Ayers have agreed to terms on a three-year, $21 million deal that includes $10.5M guaranteed.
Ayers, 30, is coming off of his best season in the NFL and was among the best defensive ends in this year’s free agent class.
In 2015, Ayers appeared in 12 games and recorded 41 tackles, nine sacks, two forced fumbles and four pass defenses for the Giants. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 8 edge rusher out of 110 qualifying players.
