The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced that they’ve placed rookie LB Cassanova McKinzy on waivers Monday.
McKinzy, 23, wound up going undrafted out of Auburn before signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Buccaneers in May. He stands to make a base salary of $450,000 for the 2016 season.
During his four-year college career, McKinzy recorded 108 tackles, 28.5 tackles for a loss, 8.5 sacks, a forced fumble, two recoveries, two interceptions and two pass defenses.
