The Tampa Bay Buccaneers officially waived rookie WR Dez Stewart off their injured reserve list on Wednesday.
Stewart wound up going undrafted out of Ohio Dominican over a month ago, but signed on with the Buccaneers before he was waived with the injury designation a few weeks later.
After clearing waivers, he reverted to the team’s injured reserve. It’s likely that the Buccaneers gave him an injury settlement as part of this transaction.
During his four-year college career, Stewart totaled 196 receptions for 3,197 yards receiving (16.3 YPR) and 25 touchdowns. He also contributed 416 kick return yards and 171 punt return yards to go along with one return touchdown.
