The Tampa Bay Buccaneers officially waived WR K.J. Brent from injured reserve on Wednesday.
Brent, 26, wound up signing on with the Raiders as an undrafted free agent out of Wake Forest back in 2016. He lasted just over a year in Oakland before he was waived and later signed to the Seahawks’ practice squad. From there, Brent spent close to a year on and off of the Colts’ practice squad before joining the Buccaneers late last season.
Tampa Bay re-signed Brent to a futures contract before waiving him an injury designation coming out of the preseason. He later reverted to their injured reserve list.
During his college career at South Carolina and Wake Forest, Brent caught 56 passes for 735 yards receiving and two touchdowns over the course of 33 games.
