Jenna Laine of ESPN reports that the Buccaneers brought in four offensive linemen for tryouts on Friday.
The full list includes:
- OT Dino Boyd
- OT Pace Murphy
- OT Josh Wells
- G Bryan Witzmann
Wells, 28, wound up going undrafted out of James Madison back in May of 2014. He later signed a three-year, $1.53 million contract with the Jaguars and had his 2018 option exercised.
The Jaguars brought Wells back on a new deal this past April. However, he was released coming out of the preseason.
In 2018, Well has appeared in five games for the Jaguars before he was placed on injured reserve last month. The Jaguars designed him to return from injured reserve and he was able to play in two more games before the end of the season.
Witzmann, 29, originally signed on with the Texans as an undrafted free agent out of South Dakota State back in 2014. He lasted just over a year in Houston before signing on to the Saints’ practice squad a few weeks into the 2015 season.
Witzmann had brief stints with the Cowboys, Chiefs, Vikings and Bears before signing on with the Browns this past March. Cleveland later released him coming out of the preseason.
In 2018, Witzmann appeared in all 16 games for the Bears.
