The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have placed SÂ Major Wright on season-ending injured reserve Saturday, per Jenna Laine.
- The Bucs also signed CB C.J. Wilson to their active roster to take Wright’s place.
Wright, 26, signed a one-year, $795,000 contract with the Buccaneers back in April, which included a $65,000 signing bonus.
Despite not making the team’s final 53-man roster, Wright was re-signed just a few days after he was cut.
His first year in Tampa Bay ends with him appearing in 12 games and recording 51 tackles and a pass defense. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 49 safety out of 86 qualifying players.
