Jay Glazer of Fox Sports reports that Cardinals QB Carson Palmer flew to Denver in recent days to meet with nerve specialist that performed Peyton Manning‘s neck surgery.
According to Glazer, Palmer has made “breakthrough” in his recovery and could be back either next week or for Week 7’s game at the latest.
Palmer has reportedly been suffering from axillary nerve contusion, but he good news this past week when surgery was ruled out.
Backup QB Drew Stanton has been solid in relief of Palmer as he has led them to a road win over the Giants and a home victory against the 49ers in Week 3.On the season, Stanton has completed 51.6 percent of his passes for 411 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions.
