A number of teams have already begun the process of trimming their roster down to 80 players ahead of training camp. Teams have the option to either carry 90 players as part of split squads or cut their roster down to 80 players.
Anderson, 24, signed on with the Cardinals as an undrafted free agent out of Murray State back in May of last year. He was among Arizona’s final roster cuts coming out of the preseason and was added to their practice squad.
The Cardinals eventually promoted Anderson to their active roster in December.
During his three-year college career at Buffalo and Murray State, Anderson recorded 324 completions on 536 pass attempts (60.4 percent) for 3,903 yards, 30 touchdowns and 16 interceptions.
Houston, 22, signed with the Cardinals as an undrafted free agent out of San Diego State. He agreed to a three-year, $2.28 million contract with Arizona.
During his four-year college career, Houston caught 45 passes for 420 yards and three touchdowns in 31 games.
