The Arizona Cardinals officially designated DB Jalen Thompson to return from injured reserve on Wednesday.
This opens a three-week window of time for the Cardinals to activate him from injured reserve and add him to their 53-man roster.
Thompson, 22, was a fifth-round supplemental pick of the Cardinals last year. He’s currently in the second year of his four-year, $2.9 million contract.
In 2019, Thompson appeared in 15 games for the Cardinals and recorded 57 tackles, one interception, a fumble recovery and three passes defended.
