According to Mike Garafolo, the Cardinals are hosting Oklahoma QB Kyler Murray on a visit Tuesday.
The Cardinals are widely believed to be considering taking Murray with the No. 1 overall pick despite spending a top-ten selection on QB Josh Rosen a year ago.
Current Cardinals HC Kliff Kingsbury coached Murray at Texas A&M, and said in October of 2018 while still coaching in college he’d take Murray with the No. 1 overall pick if he could.
Murray made the decision to pursue an NFL career despite being drafted by the Oakland A’s last year. He’s now in the discussion to be a top-10 pick and could possibly go No. 1 overall.
Murray weighed in at 5-foot-10, 207 pounds at the Combine, which is similar to Russell Wilson and helped to alleviate some concerns.
During this three-year college career at Texans A&M and Oklahoma, Murray completed 68.7 percent of his passes for 5,098 yards, 48 touchdowns, and 14 interceptions. He also rushed for 1,369 and 12 touchdowns over the course of 28 games.
