Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Cardinals are bringing in free agent CBย Tramon Williams for a visit on Thursday.
This comes after the team recently met with fellow free agent CB Brandon Flowers.
Williams toldย Sirius XM NFL Radioย back in June that he was in contact with a few teams.
โWe talked to quite a few teams, but all and all, I feel like Iโm in a position to where I can control kind of what I want to do,โ Williams said. โIโm really excited about that. Iโm ready to get to one of these teams and help out. And the team that Iโm look for is going to be a team, obviously, that is stable and wants to win, so thatโs kind of what Iโm looking for at this point.โ
Williams, 34, spent eight years in Green Bay before signing a three-year, $21 million contract that included $10 million guaranteed with the Browns last year. He was set to make a base salary of $5.7 millionย for the 2017 season to go along with a $1 million roster bonus when the Browns released him in a move that freed up $6,925,000 in available cap space.
In 2016, Williams appeared in 12 games for the Browns and recorded 36 tackles, one interception and five pass defenses.
