The Arizona Cardinals officially placed CB Ronald Zamort and LB Alani Fua on injured reserve Tuesday after they passed through waivers unclaimed.
Zamort, 25, signed on with the Cardinals as an undrafted free agent out of Western Michigan back in May of 2016. Unfortunately, the Cardinals cut him loose coming out of the preseason before later adding him to their practice squad.
Zamort returned to the Cardinals on a future/reserve contract this past January before recently sustaining a torn ACL. The Cardinals waived him with an injury designation on Monday.
During his college career, Zamort recorded 150 tackles, one sack, six interceptions, a forced fumble, two recoveries and 51 pass defenses over the course of 48 games.
