The Arizona Cardinals placed S Jalen Thompson on injured reserve Thursday and signed S Curtis Riley to their active roster.
It’s worth mentioning that the NFL changed the rules regarding injured reserve for the 2020 season and players can return from the list in just three weeks.
Thompson, 22, was a fifth-round supplemental pick of the Cardinals last year. He’s currently in the second year of his four-year, $2.9 million contract.
In 2019, Thompson appeared in 15 games for the Cardinals and recorded 57 tackles, one interception, a fumble recovery and three passes defended.
