According to Darren Urban, the Arizona Cardinals have re-signed free-agent WR Montay Crockett to their practice squad on Wednesday.
The Cardinals’ practice squad now consists of:
- QB Charles Kanoff
- WR Jalen Tolliver
- CB Chris Jones
- C Coleman Shelton
- RB Brandon Wilds
- DB Deatrick Nichols
- DT Vincent Valentine
- TE Gabe Holmes
- OT Rick Leonard
- WR Montay Crockett
Crockett, 24, wound up signing a three-year, $1.66 million contract with the Packers as an undrafted free agent out of Georgia Southern last year. He was set to make base salaries of $465,000 and $555,000 over the first two years of the contract when the Packers cut him loose coming out of the preseason.
The Jaguars later signed him to their practice squad and eventually promoted him to their active roster before placing him on waivers late last season. The Texans claimed him off of waivers but cut him loose following this year’s draft.
Jacksonville signed him, once again, back in June but cut him loose when they trimmed their roster down to the 53-man limit. The Cardinals signed him to their practice squad earlier this month but released him after a week, making this his second stint in Arizona.
During his college career at Georgia Southern, Crockett caught 28 passes for 442 yards receiving and two touchdowns over the course of 25 games.
