Cardinals Re-Sign P Drew Butler, Waive P Ryan Quigley

The Arizona Cardinals announced Tuesday that they’ve re-signed P Drew Butler and waived P Ryan Quigley.

Quigley, 26, has played for a number of teams including the Bears, Jets, Eagles and Jaguars since entering the NFL back in 2012. The Cardinals signed him to a contract back in September after they placed Butler on injured reserve.

In 2016, Quigley has appeared in six games for the Cardinals and totaled 1,341 yards punting on 34 attempts and two touchbacks.

The Arizona Cardinals are re-signing P Drew Butler on Tuesday, according to his agency.

Butler, 27, originally signed on with the Steelers as an undrafted free agent out of Georgia back in 2012. Since then, Butler has played for the Bears and Lions before catching on with the Cardinals as a free agent at the start of the 2014 season.

The Cardinals brought Butler back on an exclusive rights contract back in April. He was later waived with an injury settlement over a month ago.

In 2016, Butler has appeared in three games and totaled 505 punt yards on 15 attempts and no touchbacks.
