Adam Schefter reports that the Cardinals are re-signing veteran OT Marcus Gilbert to a one-year contract worth up to $3.75 million.
Gilbert wound up missing the entire 2019 season with a torn ACL he suffered in practice towards the end of the preseason.
Gilbert, 32, is a former second-round pick of the Steelers back in 2011. He is in the final year of his six-year, $30.815 million contract that included a $7.65 million signing bonus and set to make a base salary of $4,865,103 for the 2019 season.
The Steelers traded Gilbert to the Cardinals for a sixth-round pick last year. However, he was later placed on injured reserve with a knee injury.
In 2018, Gilbert appeared in five games for the Steelers. Pro Football Focus had him rated as the No. 41 overall offensive tackle out of 80 qualifying players.
We had him included in our Top 100 Available 2020 Free Agents list.
