Cardinals Release LB Ernie Sims

According to Cardinals VP of media relations Mark Dalton, the team has released veteran LB Ernie Sims.

Sims, 29, spent the past two years with the Cowboys before signing with the Cardinals back in June. Arizona released their depth chart earlier in the week and had Sims as a third-string linebacker, so this move shouldn’t come as a huge surprise.

• Veteran Larry Foote and Kenny Demens were both listed ahead of Sims.

Last year, Sims appeared in 12 games for Dallas and totaled 42 tackles and a forced fumble.
