Cardinals Sign WR Greg Little, Waive WR Cobi Hamilton

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Cardinals have signed former Browns WR Greg Little to a contract on Thursday and waived WR Cobi Hamilton.

Little previously took part in the Cardinals’ rookie minicamp on a tryout basis and gave him another tryout this week, so he was clearly someone they were considering as a potential addition.

Little, 28, is a former second-round pick of the Browns back in 2011. He spent three season in Cleveland before he was cut and later claimed off of waivers by the Raiders.

The Bengals would later take a shot on him in 2015 and he was on and off of their roster during the year. Little later signed a future/reserve contract with the Bills in 2016, but he was, unfortunately, cut loose coming out of the preseason.

In 2014, Little appeared in six games and recorded six receptions for 69 yards receiving.

Hamilton, 27, is a former sixth-round pick of the Bengals back 2013. He was, unfortunately, unable to make the team coming out of the preseason during his rookie season but was later signed to the Bengals’ practice squad.

Hamilton had brief stints with the Eagles, Bengals, Dolphins and Panthers before he was signed by the Steelers in 2016. After returning to the Steelers on a future/reserve contract, Pittsburgh waived him at the start of the 2017 season and he later signed on to the Texans’ practice squad.

Houston waived Hamilton back in March and he was later claimed off of waivers by the Cardinals.

In 2017, Hamilton appeared in three games and caught one pass for eight yards receiving and no touchdowns.
