According to Darren Urban, the Cardinals signed former Falcons DE Brooks Reed to a one-year contract on Saturday.
Ian Rapoport adds that Reed’s contract is worth “roughly” $2 million for 2019.
Reed, 31, is a former second-round pick of the Texans back in 2011. He played out his rookie contract with Houston before agreeing to a five-year, $22.5 million contract that included $9 million guaranteed back in 2015.
Reed was set to make a base salary of $4.5 million for the 2019 season when the Redskins released him earlier this week.
According to OverTheCap.com, releasing Reed freed up $4.5 million of available cap space while creating $940,000 in dead money.
In 2018, Reed appeared in all 16 games for the Falcons and recorded 23 tackles, one sack, and a forced fumble.
