Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Cardinals are planning to sign CB Dre Kirkpatrick to a contract, pending a physical.
Kirkpatrick previously played for Cardinals DC Vance Joseph while they were together with the Bengals.
This is the third cornerback signing for the Cardinals since Robert Alford suffered a potentially season-ending injury.
Kirkpatrick, 30, is a former first-round pick of the Bengals back in 2012. He played out his four-year, $8.622 million rookie contract before agreeing to a five-year, $52.5 million deal with $12 million guaranteed back in 2017.
Kirkpatrick was set to make a base salary of $9.4 million for the 2020 season when the Bengals released him a few months ago.
In 2019, Kirkpatrick appeared in six games and recorded 33 tackles, one sack, a fumble recovery and four pass defenses.
We had him included in our Top 100 Available 2020 Free Agents list.
