Cardinals Waive LB Vontarrius Dora & DB A.J. Howard From IR With Settlements

The Arizona Cardinals officially waived LB Vontarrius Dora and DB A.J. Howard from injured reserve with settlements on Friday.

Dora, 26, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent out of Louisiana Tech back in May of 2016. He spent over a year in Denver before he was waived in October of last year.

Dora had brief stints with the Cardinals and Colts before returning to Arizona late in the season and returning to the team on a futures contract this past January. The Cardinals waived him with an injury designation coming out of the preseason and he later reverted to their injured reserve list.

During his college career at La Tech, Dora recorded 145 tackles, 23.5 tackles for a loss, 13.5 sacks, four pass defenses, three fumble recoveries and two forced fumbles over the course of four seasons.
