Reports from yesterday mentioned that Tranquill suffered a broken ankle and was likely headed to injured reserve.
It’s worth mentioning that the NFL changed the rules regarding injured reserve for the 2020 season and players can return from the list in just three weeks. However, Tranquill will likely miss at least a significant portion of the season.
Tranquill, 25, is a former fourth-round pick of the Chargers back in 2019. He’s in the second year of his four-year, $3.2 million contract.
In 2019, Tranquill appeared in 15 games for the Chargers and recorded 75 tackles, no sacks or interceptions and one pass defense.
