The Los Angeles Chargers are placing S Adrian Phillips on injured reserve with a broken arm.
Chargers HC Anthony Lynn mentioned that Phillips is a candidate to return from injured reserve at some point in the second half of the season.
Phillips, 27, wound up signing on with the Chargers as an undrafted free agent out of Texas back in May of 2014. He’s been on and off of the Chargers’ practice squad several times since entering the league.
The Chargers re-signed Phillips to a one-year contract each of the past two seasons.
In 2019, Phillips has appeared in two games and recorded 13 tackles and no interceptions for the Chargers.
