Update:
The Los Angeles Chargers announced Monday that they’ve officially re-signed CB Jaylen Watkins.
Ian Rapoport reports that the Chargers are re-signing CB Jaylen Watkins to a one-year contract for the 2019 season.
Watkins suffered a torn ACL last summer and was placed on injured reserve where he remained for the entire season.
Watkins, 26, is a former fourth-round pick of the Eagles back in 2014. He was waived at the start of the 2015 season and had a brief stint on the Bills’ practice squad before returning to the Eagles toward the end of the 2015 season.
The Eagles signed Watkins to a one-year exclusive rights deal for the 2017 season only to declined to tender him a restricted offer last year. He later signed a one-year deal with the Chargers.
In 2017, Watkins appeared in 12 games for the Eagles and recorded 17 tackles and no interceptions.
