The Los Angeles Chargers announced they have signed fourth-round WR Brenen Thompson to a rookie contract.

Thompson is the final Chargers’ draft pick to sign their rookie deal. Here’s a final look at their 2026 draft class:

Thompson, 22, was a four-star recruit and the 20th-ranked wide receiver in the 2022 recruiting class out of Spearman, Texas. He committed to Texas but only stayed there for a season before transferring to Oklahoma and then to Mississippi State for his last year. Thompson earned Third Team All-SEC honors with Mississippi State in 2025.
The Chargers used the 105th overall pick in the fourth round of the 2026 draft on Thompson.
Thompson signed a four-year rookie contract worth $5,632,136, featuring a $1,408,034 average annual salary.
In his collegiate career, Thompson appeared in 40 games over four years at Texas, Oklahoma and Mississippi State. He caught 84 passes for 1,557 yards and 10 touchdowns, and also rushed for 14 yards and a touchdown.
