The Los Angeles Chargers officially placed TE Jake McGee on waivers Monday.
Magee, 24, originally signed on with the Panthers as an undrafted free agent out of Florida back in May of last year. He lasted just a few weeks in Carolina before he was cut and later signed by the Raiders.
Unfortunately, Magee was among the Raiders’ final roster cuts coming out of the preseason, but he managed to catch on to the Chargers’ practice squad and was brought back on a future/reserve contract this past January.
During his college career at Florida, Magee caught 112 passes for 1,150 yards receiving and 11 touchdowns over the course of 47 games.
