The Los Angeles Chargers officially placed WR Trevion Thompson on injured reserve after clearing waivers.
Thompson, 23, wound up signing on with the Chargers as an undrafted free agent out of Clemson following this year’s draft. He agreed to a three-year, $1.755 million contract, but he was later waived with an injury designation on Monday.
The Chargers will likely waive Thompson from injured reserve with a settlement once he’s healthy.
During his four-year college career at Clemson, Thompson caught 53 passes for 506 yards receiving and two touchdowns over the course of 35 games.
