The Kansas City Chiefs announced that they’ve activated DL Chris Jones from the PUP list on Sunday and he’s expected to take part in their practice.
Jones is coming off of knee surgery, which led to him opening training camp on the active/PUP list.
Jones, 23, is a former second-round pick of the Chiefs back in 2016. He’s currently in the second year of his four-year, $6.231 million contract and stands to make base salaries of $916,476 and $1.19 million over the next two years.
In 2016, Jones appeared in all 16 games and recorded 29 tackles, two sacks, and four pass defenses.ย Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 17 interior defender out of 126 qualifying players.
