Henne, 34, is a former second-round pick of the Dolphins back in 2008. He played four years for Miami before signing with the Jaguars as a free agent in 2012.
Henne restructured his contract last season with the Jaguars to a one-year, $3,250,000 contract. The Chiefs signed him to a two-year, $6.7 million deal back in March.
He was placed on injured reserve coming out of the preseason and was designated as a player to return last week.
In 2016 and 2017, Henne appeared in a combined three games for the Jaguars and has had just two passing attempts.
