Terez A. Paylor reports that the Chiefs are bringing in free agent RB Damien Williams for a visit this week.
This comes just a few days after the Chiefs met with RB Thomas Rawls (NFLTR), so they’re clearly in the market for running back help.
This is the first reported interest in Williams since the free agent market officially opened.
Williams, 25, originally signed on with the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent out of Oklahoma back in 2014. He finished out the final year of a three-year, $1,535,000 rookie contract before the Dolphins used an original-round restricted tender on him worth $1.797 million for the 2017 season.
In 2017, Williams appeared in 11 games for the Dolphins and rushed for 181 yards on 46 carries (3.9 YPC) to go along with 20 receptions for 155 yards receiving and one touchdown.
