The Kansas City Chiefs have begun the process of cutting their roster down to 75 players on Saturday, as they placed TEย Adam Schiltz and rookie CBย Kenneth Penny on waivers, according to Herbie Teope.
Schiltz, 25, originally signed on with the Texans as an undrafted free agent out of Emporia State back in 2013. He lasted just a few months in Houston before he later signed on to the Titans’ practice squad.
The Chiefs wound up claiming Schiltz off of waivers from the Titans in July of last year and later signed him to a future/reserve contract in December.
Schiltz has yet to appear in an NFL game.
Penny, 24 signed with Kansas City shortly after this year’s draft as an undrafted free agent out of UNLV.
