Chiefs Place S Steven Terrell On Injured Reserve, Promote S Leon McQuay

The Kansas City Chiefs announced Monday that they’ve placed S Steven Terrell on injured reserve and promoted S Leon McQuay from the practice squad.

Terrell, 27, wound up signing on with the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent out of Texas A&M back in 2013. He had a brief stint with the Texans before catching on with the Seahawks in July of 2014.

Seattle declined to tender Terrell a restricted offer this past March, which made him an unrestricted free agent. Kansas City signed him in July but waived him as they trimmed their roster down to the 53-man limit.

The Chiefs brought him back a week later.

In 2017, Terrell appeared in 10 games for the Chiefs and recorded four tackles, one interception and three pass defenses.
