According to Adam Caplan, the Chiefs have re-signed G Jeff Allen to the 90-man roster on Monday.
In a corresponding move, the Chiefs waived G Abdul Beecham.
Allen, 29, is a former second-round pick of the Chiefs back in 2012. He played out his rookie contract in Kansas City before signing a four-year, $28 million contract that included $12 million guaranteed with the Texans back in 2016.
Allen had two years remaining on the agreement when the Texans waived him from the PUP list with an injury settlement in 2018. Allen re-signed with the Chiefs on a one-year deal in October.
In 2018, Allen appeared in 10 games for the Chiefs and started four. According to Pro Football Focus, he had a 56.5 grade on 224 snaps.
