The Kansas City Chiefs are re-signing FB Anthony Sherman to a new contract on Friday, according to Leroy Insider.
Sherman was the best available fullback in this year’s free agent class and was a Pro Bowl selection in 2018.
Sherman, 30, is a former fifth-round pick of the Cardinals back in 2011. He spent two years in Arizona before catching on with the Chiefs for the 2015 season.
Sherman played out the final year of his three-year, $7,000,000 contract with the Chiefs before returning to Kansas City last year on a one-year deal.
In 2018, Sherman appeared in all 16 games for the Chiefs and rushed for two yards on one carry to go along with eight receptions for 96 yards receiving and one touchdown.
