Ware, 27, is a former sixth-round pick of the Seahawks back in 2013. He spent over a year in Seattle before signing on with the Chiefs at the end of the 2014 season.
The Chiefs signed Ware to a three-year, $4.2 million contract that included $1.6 million guaranteed in 2016 and became an unrestricted free agent this past March.
The Colts signed Ware to a one-year, $1.3 million deal for the 2019 season but was released from the PUP list last month. Since becoming a free agent, he worked out for the Cardinals, Buccaneers, and Raiders but left each meeting without a contract.
In 2018, Ware appeared in 13 games for the Chiefs, rushing 51 times for 246 yards (4.8 YPC) and two touchdowns. Ware also caught 20 passes for 224 yards receiving.
