The Seattle Seahawks have acquiredย S Kelcie McCray from the Kansas City Chiefs in return for an fifth-roundย draft pick.
It’s interesting to see the Seahawks trade for a safety with S Kam Chancellor holding out for a new contract. There have already been trade rumors circulating that the Seahawks are at least listening to offers for Chancellor, so this situation is worth monitoring.
McCray, 26, signed a three-year, $1.435 million with the Chiefs back in March. He stands to make a base salary of $570,000 for the 2015 season.
In 2014, McCray appeared in all 16 games for the Chiefs and recorded 11 tackles.
