The Kansas City Chiefs officially waived DB Step Durham on Thursday.
Durham, 23, wound up signing on with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent out of Georgia Tech back in May of last year. He agreed to a three-year, $1.71 million contract with the Chiefs, but was waived with an injury designation coming out of the preseason.
Durham cleared waivers and reverted to the Chiefs’ injured reserve list where he remained for the entire 2018 season.
During his four-year college career at Georgia Tech, Durham recorded 76 tackles, one sack, an inerception, a forced fumble, two recoveries and 12 pass defenses over the course of 29 games.
