The Kansas City Chiefs have placed DT Montori Hughes on waivers Friday, according to Terez A. Paylor.
Hughes, 26, is a former fifth-round pick of the Colts back in 2013. He lasted just over two years in Indianapolis before he was waived coming out of the preseason last year.
The Giants later signed him to their practice squad before being cut loose a few weeks ago. The Giants re-signed him a few weeks into the regular season only to cut him loose a few months later.
Hughes signed a future/reserve contract with the Chiefs this past January.
In 2016, Hughes has been active for two games but has yet to record a statistic.
