The Kansas City Chiefs officially waived WR Aleva Hifo and WR Andre Baccellia and signed WR Marcus Kemp.
Hifo, 22, originally signed on with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent out of BYU in April but was waived two weeks ago after spending time on their reserve/COVID-19 list.
The Chiefs just recently re-signed Hifo.
During his college career, Hifo recorded 118 receptions for 1,336 yards receiving (11.3 YPC) and seven touchdowns, to go along with 55 rushing attempts, 233 yards (4.2 YPC) and four touchdowns. He also had 29 kickoff return attempts for 598 yards (20.6 YPR) and 15 punt return attempts, 232 yards (15.5 YPR) and no touchdowns.
Kemp, 25, was signed by the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent out of Hawaii in 2017. He was waived during final cutdowns in 2017 and bounced on and off the Chiefs practice squad before being signed to the active roster early in 2018.
Kemp returned to the Chiefs last year on an exclusive rights contract but wasn’t tendered a restricted offer this offseason.
In 2018, Kemp appeared in all 16 games for the Chiefs. He caught one pass for seven yards and also added six total tackles on special teams.
